The “Sensory-Motor Preference Checklist (for Adults)” has become one of our most requested and valued tool for helping adults learn about their own self-regulation patterns and preferences. This effective tool offers a way for adults to understand what strategies their own nervous systems employ to achieve and maintain appropriate alert states for improved daily functioning.

Adults who have greater self-knowledge of their own sensory-motor preferences are better equipped to have a greater understanding of and provide greater support and guidance to children or other adults in learning how to self-regulate. Adult involvement in this process is a critical component to the successful use of the Alert Program®. The “Sensory-Motor Preference Checklist (for Adults)” is a powerful tool to teach adults about their own self-regulation.
